The Tutor-Counselor lives in the residence hall June 6-July 20 and is responsible for daily supervision of assigned students in the residence hall, classrooms and on cultural outings; providing programming, activities, and guidance to high school students in the Upward Bound Program.

Minimum Qualifications

At least one year experience with high school students. Currently enrolled college student with at least a 2.5 GPA on 4.0 scale with a major in education, social sciences, business, math, or science field. Experience with communication, activity planning, and conflict management.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous residence life experience.

Experience with Upward Bound Programs.

Experience working with students from high schools in an urban setting

Experience in program planning for high school students

Work Hours

Summer Academy with training is from June 6 -July 20, 2018. This is a residential position that is scheduled from Sunday 5pm-Friday at 5pm for six weeks.
