The Au Bon Pain Customer Service Specialist performs a variety of duties including food preparation, cashiering, providing customer service, stocking and cleaning while following all Au Bon Pain and food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

*Must have a High School diploma or GED.
*Must be able to effectively write and communicate in English.
*Must have basic math skills and the ability to handle money accurately.
*Must be able to exert well paced mobility for periods of up to four (4) hours.
*Must have the ability to lift equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds in weight.
*Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, and use finger dexterity for periods up to 4 hours at a time.
*Must be able to stand for up to four (4) hours at a time.
*Must be able to visibly differentiate colors.
*Must be able to work when exposed to wet floors, temperature extremes and loud noise.
*Must be able to work independently with the appropriate amount of supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

*One year in a food preparation position.
*Experience in a high volume a la carte operation and proven customer service skills.
*Successful cash register experience.
*Experience with MICROS registers.
*Working knowledge of standard commercial kitchen equipment.
*Current managerial ServSafe certification.
*Demonstrates a professional demeanor.
*Experience working with students and a diverse multi-cultural staff.
*Successful experience assisting customers.

Work Hours

35 hours per week. Varied. Must be able to work early mornings, evenings/nights, weekends and holidays. Shift is on a 3 or 4 week rotation. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ALL SHIFTS.
