The Digital Media Specialist works within the Office of eLearning and is responsible for a range of professional media production assignments in support of campus learning initiatives. This position will collaborate with UD faculty and others across the university to capture and produce media content in support of courses (supplemented, hybrid or online) or other approved academic initiatives. This position will work in audio/video capture, editing, graphic and motion design, streaming media technologies along with providing guidance in scriptwriting and storyboarding.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree in media production or related field
2. 2 years professional experience working in multimedia field
3. Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems
4. Experience with audio/video capture and production hardware
5. Experience with non-linear editing systems and workflows such as Final Cut or Adobe Premiere
6. Basic hardware, software, and networking knowledge/troubleshooting skills.
7. Demonstrated successful ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
8. Excellent written communication skills and customer service orientation, with the ability to work as a flexible, collaborative, and supportive team member, while excelling in a fast-paced service environment.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Masters degree in related field.
2. Experience working in higher education
3. Experience with professional video and lighting equipment & techniques
4. Experience with studio software and chroma keying
5. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite programs (Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver)

6. Ability to create training materials and deliver workshops related to multimedia capture and deployment.
7. Demonstrated experience with motion graphics and animation
8. Experience with digital and analog broadcast systems; web and video conferencing.
9. Effective interpersonal communication skills
