This position will involve design, implementation, and testing of experimental fixtures and test apparatuses, novel electrical and mechanical systems, and cutting edge power electronics.

The candidate will also assist in the training and development of co-ops students.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering or related engineering discipline.

The candidate is required to have demonstrated:
problem solving skills,
strong CAD abilities,
experience with LabVIEW and other DAQ software and hardware,
common data acquisition principals

Machine shop experience is also required.

Due to the nature of the position, the applicant is required to be an US citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with controls, embedded software, engines, data acquisition, motors, high-power lasers; experimentation and automation

A background in multiple machine languages and communication protocols, such as CAN, GPIB, serial, C/C++, and analog signals
