The primary purpose of this position is to be a leading contributor on a software development team. The Associate Research Software Engineer will work with junior team members and provide technical guidance to them. Primary responsibilities include all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including requirements design, development, integration, and testing. This position requires the person to interface and communicate with the client(s) in a professional manner, as well as assist junior team members with their job duties.

Minimum Qualifications

-B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or Electrical Engineering

-1-2 yrs. experience with full-stack software development with either Java or C# platforms

-Experience with Agile SCRUM software development process and tools like JIRA/Urban Turtle/SCRUMWorks/etc

-Experience with source code management practices and tools, such as SVN/Git/TFS

-Experience with continuous integration tools, such as Jenkins/TeamCity/Travis CI

-Demonstrated verbal communication skills

-Demonstrated or documented experience directing junior team members

Preferred Qualifications

-M.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

-2-4 yrs. experience with full-stack software development with either Java or C# platforms

-2+ yrs. experience with Agile SCRUM development

-Demonstrated knowledge of the Linux platform

-Demonstrated experience with client interaction and communication
