POSITION SUMMARY

The successful candidate will be responsible in the research and development of electric actuation technologies for aircraft flight control. Duties include experimental setup and DAQ for actuator, electro-mechanical, and related test equipment, etc. The candidate will have full responsibility from concept, design, development, testing, and troubleshooting of the components such actuator, electro-mechanical, and related test equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering or electrical engineering (or other relatable engineering subjects) from an accredited college or university.

- P1 Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of directly related experience, with diverse hands-on experience on designing experimental testing fixture and DAQ, and conduct experiments of electro-mechanical actuators (EMA) for flight control, or equivalent equipment testing experience.

- P2 Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years directly related experience, with diverse hands-on experience on designing experimental testing fixture and DAQ, and conduct experiments of electro-mechanical actuators (EMA) for flight control, , or equivalent equipment testing experience.

- Should possess excellent written (proposals, reports, documentation, conference and journal paper, etc.) and verbal communication skills

- Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, and pass a national agency background check.

- Valid driver’s license with low risk driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced technical degree, MS or PhD in mechanical engineering and/or aerospace engineering or other related areas.

- Experience in MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW program in DAQ for communication with hydraulic and actuator controller,

- Program Skills such as: AutoCAD, C/C++, Abaqus, Ansys, and SolidWorks are preferred.
